At the end of our east-coast-journey, New York was once again awaiting us.
Since we had booked our return flight to Europe a little clumsy, we stayed here for the weekend before we could take our flight to the UK. We used the time mainly for the further consultation of our dates in London. As you will see the coming week there is a lot for us. But as usual there was also a lot of leisure time among the manageable work.
Although we were unable to arrange a meeting at the Columbia University, we thought that it might be anyway a good idea to visit this well-known educational institution. Over a small detour via Roosevelt Island and an extensive walk through the Central Park we arrived in the Upper West Side.
Because we had some bad weather on the next day, we leave our area for some further urban exploration. Our apartment was in Jersey. Accordingly, we went to the Central Railroad Station, Ellis Island and a coastal section with a good view of the Statue of Liberty.
After this end of our USA trip, we are now looking forward to the familiar Europe!
